Teaching Assistant
in a Grade 9 Academic Science Class

In the past three months, I volunteered as a teaching assistant and helped out a grade 9 academic science class. This experience has allowed me to better define leadership and learn more about myself.

Generally, I assisted the teacher with a variety of tasks, such as marking and answering students' questions. Also, I delivered several lessons and designed flower dissection lab during the semester. After marking their tests, I usually take up the tests with them and give them some feedbacks. On lab days, I helped students with any difficulties and questions. Before tests, I offered extra help for students who need it.

My job and responsibility in classroom is to help students as much as I could and also to ensure a comfortable, quiet working environment for everyone. I made sure that I still keep up the positive learning attitudes in the class.
